Lamphere Schools Nutrition Services

Welcome to the Lamphere Schools Nutrition Services Department.

New Federal Guidelines for Snacks Sold in Schools

New federally mandated snack and beverage standards were implemented effective July 1, 2014 in school districts nationwide. This will impact snacks sold by the district and through school fundraisers. In accordance with the Healthy Hunger- Free Kids Act and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Lamphere Schools has implemented the required nutrition standards for all snacks sold in school. These standards for snack sales are in effect from any time before school through one-half hour (30 minutes) after school. These standards do not apply to items sold beginning 30 minutes after school through the rest of the day. The standards do not apply to foods brought from home for personal consumption or to foods provided to students at no cost like approved special events. Our program which is regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture, is designed to provide your child with 1/3 of his/her recommended dietary allowance. A school lunch consists of five components:

Our Trained Staff works hard to ensure that your child receives the finest food quality and service each and every day in a safe environment. We are happy to provide them with the nutrients they need to grow and learn.

MiSTAR & ParentConnection

The Food Service Program has a computer system to track your Child's lunch and breakfast account. This computer system will track your Child's account, the history of what your child has eaten and help with those children who have allergies to certain foods. The POS computer system (MiSTAR Point of Sale) will be beneficial not only to the Food Service Department but also you. You can add money for your child to purchase Healthy snacks or milk.  Each student will have a Food Service Account. You simply put money into your child's account. You are welcome to put in as much money at a time in your child's account as you wish. When your child makes a purchase in the cafeteria the money will be deducted from your child's account.

If you would like to send money to school for deposit into your Child's Account please follow the following procedure.

To add money to your child's account through ParentConnect, simply log in and click the Cafeteria tab.

You can track your student's account on-line by using ParentConnect. If you need your PIN and Password please contact Jennifer Schulte
